Beginner Pilates Classes

Beginner level physio led pilates classes.

GD Physio follow the APPI Modified Pilates model which has been devised by Physiotherapists and has taken the original 34 mat work exercises and modified them to create a progressive approach to core stability training.

All video classes are led by Chartered Physiotherapists trained in exercise rehabilitation and Pilates. There exists the possibility of certain dangers when exercising. They include abnormal blood pressure, fainting, irregular, fast or slow heart rhythm, and in rare instances, heart attack, stroke or death. Whilst every care will be taken, it is impossible to predict the body’s exact response to exercise. Every effort will be made to minimise these risks. It is your responsibility to ensure you have the correct equipment and follow the teacher’s instructions in order to exercise safely. You will listen to your body and rest when needed.

    Everyday Pilates Session for all abilities. This session provides both mobility and stability for the whole body.

  • Physio Led Pilates #3

    50minute (Warm up included)

    Focusing on hip/pelvic stability. Remember slow and controlled with the exercises and you will gain more from them.

  • Physio Led Pilates #4

    25minutes (Beginner-mobility)

    This is a really nice mobility session. Good to do first thing on a morning to get you going or simply when you are feeling a little stiff and want to feel a little taller and more aware of your posture.

  • Physio Led Pilates #5

    50 minutes (warm up included)

    An Everyday Pilates session, suitable for all abilities. This session brings in the arms to help improve scapular stability.
